I’m an artist, poet, jeweler, essayist, old hippy, iconoclast, and unrepentant nerd girl.
Throughout my life, people have used the same five words to describe me:
1. Smart
2. Creative
3. Honest
4. Compassionate
5. Stubborn.
I’d like to argue the word “stubborn.”
The next three words that frequently come up are:
6. Strong
7. Independent
8. Stubborn.

I’m a New York City native who moved to Southern California in 1980. I’ve traveled a lot, but not as much as I’d like to. I collect ethnic arts and crafts. My yard is filled with giant cacti.
I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. I underwent treatment, and was in remission for 17-1/2 years. I was re-diagnosed in 2016. Hopefully I’ll survive this round and there won’t be a third time.
